Lain was engaged by Haben to deliver a complete mall furniture package for Westpoint Blacktown Shopping Centre, one of Western Sydney’s most prominent retail destinations. The project involved a full refresh of the centre’s common area seating environments, creating warmer, more inviting spaces that encourage customers to dwell and connect throughout the mall.

The original design by Buchan established a strong foundation of texture and abundant greenery, and it was critical that the updated shopping centre furniture carried this vision forward. Lain supplied custom mall lounge seating featuring warm tan upholstery and light timber detailing, carefully selected to complement the centre’s existing palette and material language. Custom rug pods were introduced to anchor key seating zones, adding warmth underfoot and clearly defining each furniture setting within the broader mall environment.

The shopping centre furniture package was designed with operational flexibility in mind — all settings can be easily reconfigured to support casual leasing activations and centre events, while continuing to enhance the day-to-day customer experience. From product selection through to delivery and installation, Lain managed the full mall furniture package for Westpoint Blacktown Shopping Centre, delivering a result that is both design-led and fit for the demands of a high-traffic retail environment.
